Meet THE TEAM
Since 2002, Roz Murphy Design has been creating distinctive homes in the Dallas area and beyond, providing an experience as refreshing as the design.

For more than two decades, Roz Murphy has been creating interiors that are as comfortable as they are sophisticated and timeless, specializing in full-service home design. From initial planning to furniture selections and the final placement of accessories, Murphy guides her clients through every step of the home design journey. Her expertise spans residential design and decoration for new construction, custom homes, and remodels.
Murphy’s favorite part of the design process is building relationships with her clients. She believes that understanding their lives and aspirations enhances the creative process and results in truly bespoke spaces. Her designs are curated and individualized, embracing a quiet luxury that transcends fleeting trends. Murphy is committed to ensuring no two homes look alike, reflecting her ability to work across a broad spectrum of styles. Her projects are defined by their uniqueness, sophistication, and vibrancy. She operates on the belief that a client’s home should be an extension of their vision, bringing thoughtful creativity to every project.
Born and raised on the East Coast, Murphy moved to Dallas to earn her Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Art History from Southern Methodist University. She furthered her design education at El Centro College, interning with renowned firms such as Wilson & Associates and Emily Summers Design before opening Roz Murphy Design in 2002.
Notably, Murphy’s work has graced boutiques such as Neiman Marcus’ CUSP and appeared in publications such as Modern Luxury Interiors, Southern Living, and more. She has been recognized as a D Home ‘Best Designer in Dallas’ for four consecutive years. Murphy lives in University Park, Dallas with her husband and two daughters. Outside of design, she loves to travel, visit antique stores and gallery openings, play tennis, and spend time outdoors.
Born and raised in Dallas, Sofia Mantas developed an early appreciation for design, often accompanying her mother to the Design District and gaining a firsthand look at the process behind creating a home. She went on to attend Southern Methodist University, earning a degree in Markets and Culture, before pursuing a degree in interior design at Wade College.
Her background spans both design and construction, beginning at an esteemed design firm and later working with a custom home builder in the Park Cities, where she managed projects from concept through completion. This experience shaped her thoughtful, detail-driven approach and continues to inform her work today.
Sofia’s aesthetic is rooted in tradition but layered and expressive. Her work can be described as collected, colorful, and rich with pattern and texture. She is drawn to spaces that feel personal and inviting, often incorporating unexpected details, bold lighting, and elements that spark conversation. She believes a home should be as comfortable as it is beautiful, with each project tailored to the way her clients truly live. By taking time to understand their existing spaces and guiding them through a collaborative process, she ensures every home feels considered, personal, and enduring.
Outside of design, she is deeply family-oriented and spends much of her time with her six nieces and nephews. She enjoys a quiet, creative rhythm at home, often needlepointing, reading, cooking, and working on puzzles, as well as time with her friends, boyfriend, and small dog.
